How to Visa Apply To Australia.



11 March 2013: From 2 April 2013, student visa applicants who are Afghan or Pakistan nationals living in Pakistan can submit their applications and provide their biometrics at an AVAC in Pakistan. Previously, it has only been possible to submit a student visa application directly to the Adelaide Offshore Student Processing Centre in Australia. Applications submitted through an AVAC,will be couriered securely to the Adelaide Offshore Student Processing Centre in Australia within seven days.

Gerry�s International is a commercial company, representing VFS Global in Pakistan, and working in partnership with the Commonwealth of Australia to provide Australian visa application services in Pakistan.

The Australian Visa Application Centres (AVACs) in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi offer services which include collection of visa application documents, charges and biometrics as well as returning of passports to applicants. The AVAC operates within the guidelines of the client service principles of the Australian Government Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP).

All applications will be assessed and decided by the Visa Section of the Australian High Commission in Islamabad in accordance with Australian immigration legislation and policy. Gerry�s staff do not have the authority to assess visa applications or make visa decisions.

Important note for visa applicants:

To make a valid application, applicants must lodge a complete and signed application form for the appropriate visa subclass, pay the appropriate visa application charge.
Applicants will also need to provide biometrics. 
Application forms for a person aged less than 18 years must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. 

All supporting documents and information should be submitted together with the application. Any documents that are not in English must be accompanied by a certified translation. 

To avoid possible delays, you should include all relevant information and additional documentation in support of your application at the time of lodgement.

Checklists are available under Visa Types to help you make sure that you have included all the necessary documentation. If you do not provide all the specified documentation at the time you lodge your application a decision may be made on the basis of the available information. Australian migration legislation permits a decision to be taken at any time after the application has been lodged.
Visa Application Process
Step 1 : Select a visa subclass which is appropriate for the purpose of your travel to Australia and download the relevant visa application form.
Step 2 : Your visa application may require supporting documentation. For a list of supporting documentation required for your visa, see checklists provided under Visa Types. Gather together the required supporting documentation for your application. 
To avoid delays all supporting documentation should be submitted at the time of application.
Step 3 : Organise payment of the visa fees in the form of a bank draft.
Step 4 : Make an appointment with the AVAC to lodge your application and submit your biometrics.
Step 5 : Lodge your visa application and submit your biometrics at the AVAC. The Australian Visa Office may contact you to request additional information.

You can track your application by entering your VLN number (Receipt Number) and your Date of birth.
